| Our
Kids in Nature program in Alaska’s Inside Passage and Mexico’s Sea of
Cortés offers kid-size pricing --- 2 kids under 12 for 1 adult fare. This
offer applies to two Mariner staterooms on the 22-guest Safari Quest
outfitted with twin beds and stateroom B-1 on the main deck which has a
lower and upper berth. Total savings with all 3 staterooms booked is over
$10,475. for Mexico and over $15,275. for Alaska. Our Kids in Nature, or
KIN cruises, include a luxury yacht as the schoolhouse, an Expedition
Leader/Naturalist as the teacher, and the wildlife-rich waters of
Alaska’s Inside Passage or Mexico’s Sea of Cortés as the laboratory.
KIN convenes during popular winter and spring break weeks for Mexico,
January 27 and March 17, and during summer vacation in Alaska, June 17 and
July 29. One family chartering the Safari Quest or a mix of families
booking independently can now enjoy adventure travel in nature’s most
diverse playgrounds.
Activities
abound for all ages: kayaking, hiking on a remote island followed by a
full-scale picnic, hopping shore-to-shore by zodiac, viewing whales
directly off the bow or dolphins right below, collecting shells to study,
riding mountain bikes and more. In Mexico, warm-water activities also
include swimming with sea lions, snorkeling, windsurfing, water-skiing,
sail boating, and, after dinner, checking in on the playful antics below
the boat via an underwater camera. Shoreside, an included burro trail ride
will be a hit for the whole family. With 9 crewmembers to serve no more
than 22 guests, kids and adults alike are accompanied on a variety of
personal-choice excursions while the yacht is at anchor in either
destination. In a rare introduction to wilderness lifestyles, kids and the
entire family will meet and interact with residents of Quest-sized
communities.
At
the end of a week of up-close adventure, the crew of the Safari Quest will
present each family member with a photo disc of several hundred images to
share and reminisce for years to come. In addition, each child will
receive a Kids in Nature backpack filled with mementos of their various
explorations: a certificate of achievement signed by the Captain and
Expedition Leader, a CREW tee shirt and cap, a pair of binoculars,
disposable camera and a typed list of all of the flora and fauna observed
during the cruise. Far from the typical family vacation getaway, a yacht
cruise provides kids a fun way to learn about nature and other cultures.
(A
Kids in Nature departure is also scheduled for the 12-guest Safari Escape
in Alaska June 26, 2006. Please call for details.) |
